Biopower technologies convert
renewable biomass fuels into heat and electricity
through a variety of processes. Biopower
has tremendous potential for development in
part because biomass stores its energy until
needed, thereby providing “energy on demand.” Sources
of biomass include: wood waste, municipal
wastewater, landfill gas, animal manure and
forest residues. Below
are selected links to information sources on
types of biopower technologies and how they
work:

two rounds of biomass market assessments:

Biopower Term Sheet
This document describes a general framework
for developing a biopower project with Energy
Trust assistance, including a brief description
of the topics typically included in a funding
agreement. All projects are different, and
this generic document does not constitute
a contract, an offer, or a draft agreement.
