Biopower technologies convert renewable biomass fuels into heat and electricity through a variety of processes.  Biopower has tremendous potential for development in part because biomass stores its energy until needed, thereby providing “energy on demand.”  Sources of biomass include:  wood waste, municipal wastewater, landfill gas, animal manure and forest residues.  Below are selected links to information sources on types of biopower technologies and how they work:

Oregon Business Energy Tax Credit Program

Many renewable projects are eligible for the Oregon Department of Energy Business Energy Tax Credit (BETC). The tax credit can significantly reduce the cost of your project.
