Energy Trust of Oregon, Inc., is offering financial assistance to eligible participants in the writing of applications for the Simple Application track of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) "Section 9006" grants.

Energy Trust is currently receiving applications to help you apply for federal assistance.

The USDA's "Section 9006" program provides grants and loans to rural small businesses and agricultural producers for the purchase and installation of renewable power projects. The 9006 Simple Application track may only be used if your project meets certain criteria (for example, ≤ $200,000 total project cost). Contact USDA for details. Energy Trust can reimburse eligible, approved participants for 50% of the cost (up to a maximum of $2500) of hiring a "Grant-Writing Consultant" to assist them with completing and submitting a Section 9006 Simple Application for certain renewable energy projects. If you are interested in finding out more about this Energy Trust program, please contact us.

Deadline information: Second round applications for the USDA 9006 program are due June 16, 2008.
