Energy Trust will reimburse approved participants for 50% of the cost incurred in hiring a qualified consultant for writing Oregon Economic and Community Development REF Fund applications for hydropower feasibility studies, up to a maximum of $3,000 per application. This offer is open to municipalities in the Portland General Electric service territory.
To be eligible for Energy Trust assistance, the applicant's renewable energy project under consideration must meet Energy Trust's standard eligibility and other program requirements.
The REF Fund's maximum grant award amount is $50,000 per study. The state requires an applicant to provide a minimum of 25 percent of the total study costs with at least 15 percent representing direct cash contributions.
Study proposals submitted through Energy Trust's REF Fund assistance program that do not receive REF Fund grants will be considered for Energy Trust study funding assistance.
