Energy Trust helps trade allies with marketing services
Energy Trust offers a full range of marketing tools to help trade allies bring clean energy projects in the door. From cooperative advertising funding to interactive website listings, these tools are available, at no cost to you, to help promote your business.
1. Hitting the web
Each trade ally has a dedicated page on the website, accessed through the searchable list of trade allies. When customers click on your company name from the main trade ally list, your detailed page will open with access to your website, logo and certifications. To be most useful, your information must be current and complete. Please check your detailed page periodically and contact your program trade ally coordinator with any updates.
2. Dressing the part
Energy Trust has “Trade Ally of Energy Trust of Oregon, Inc.” polo shirts for you and your employees to wear on a job. To get a supply of shirts, please contact Tom Beverly by email or call 503-445-7637.
3. It’s showtime
We encourage you to hand out Energy Trust brochures, case studies and fact sheets at events where you’re exhibiting. We have a variety of printed materials that help tell your customers how Energy Trust can help them. Please contact by email or call 503-459-4077 to pick up materials.
4. Cooperative advertising expands your reach
If you are a trade ally with Home Energy Solutions, ENERGY STAR® New Homes or one of our Solar programs, Energy Trust will share the cost of advertising your business when your message supports Energy Trust programs. From helping to write copy on your website to collaborating on advertisements in your local paper, we will help offset the cost of your advertising program. Please contact your program trade ally coordinator to learn how to take advantage of Energy Trust’s cooperative marketing funds.
5. Trainings
Energy Trust offers training sessions on various energy efficiency, renewable energy and business topics to help your business keep up with the latest strategies. Check with your program trade ally coordinator or Tom Beverly to learn more about upcoming workshops or to suggest a topic.
6. Spreading the word across Oregon
Energy Trust uses advertising to reach residential, commercial and industrial customers with information about Energy Trust programs and clean energy. Advertisements in magazines, local newspapers and newsletters can highlight programs to specific audiences. Press releases to announce accomplishments and new initiatives for all programs are distributed to local, statewide and trade media regularly. Energy Trust also publishes case studies on projects, develops point-of-purchase materials for retailers, and distributes a monthly electronic newsletter, SYNERGY, to thousands of individuals who have a stake in the clean energy business.
All Energy Trust marketing activities are designed to build more business for trade allies, while changing how Oregonians use and generate energy. We’re always interested in hearing your ideas about how to spread the word about clean energy and Energy Trust. Contact Tom Beverly or your program trade ally coordinator with your ideas.
