Oregon rates 5th on ACEEE new national energy efficiency scorecard
Oregon ranks fifth in the nation in the new
comprehensive ranking of state-level energy efficiency
policies. The American Council for an Energy-Efficient
Economy's report, The State Energy Efficiency Scorecard for 2006, grades each state and the District of Columbia
on actions taken in the race to adopt energy efficiency

Oregon Department of Energy: Legislature approves several energy-related bills
The 2007 Oregon Legislature passed several energy-related
bills that now await the Governor's signature. Some of
the new laws will impact trade allies, especially solar

Trade ally training plan in full swing
Energy Trust provides many workshops throughout the year,
and the summer months are a particularly good time for
training. Besides technical training related to
certifications, Energy Trust is holding a number of
workshops on incentives, quality control procedures and

Solar energy taking root across Oregon
The sheer number of solar installations coming on line
in Oregon is reinforcing what we have been saying for
five years—solar energy works in Oregon. Just since
January 2007 there have been 100 solar photovoltaic
systems and 108 solar water heating systems installed in
Energy Trust service territory. That's a 45 percent

programs have taken decisive steps to make significant
reductions in their energy consumption. There's now a
