Trade Ally Roundtables feature new format, locations
Services and support for trade allies continues to grow.
Energy Trust held the second quarterly trade ally
roundtable sessions on June 11, 12 and 13. The sessions
featured a new format and more representation from each of
Energy Trust's programs. The added session in Bend
accommodated the growing number of trade allies in
Central Oregon. Our new format included breakout sessions
for commercial and residential groups. Trade allies
requested breakout sessions to make the roundtable meetings more
pertinent to their needs. CLICK TO CONTINUE

Rate increases coming this fall
NW Natural announced on July 15 an anticipated fall rate
increase ranging from 35 percent to 40 percent. This announcement
made front-page news in The Oregonian and we
expect that both residential and commercial customers will
be concerned about how these increases will impact their
families and businesses. Cascade Natural Gas customers will
face an increase of 15 percent to 20 percent. The natural gas
rate increases will take effect November 1, 2008. Portland General Electric is requesting an increase of 14-15 percent beginning
January 1, 2009. We expect these rate increases to create
greater demand for your services and for Energy Trust programs.
A story in the July 17 Daily Journal of Commerce shares
