| Description: |
Introducing how to incorporate Revit into the energy simulation process. The discussion will focus on how to build the Revit models in order to be read properly by the energy simulation tool, and using Green Building Studio to translate the Revit file into the building description language (BDL) for use in an eQUEST *.INP file. The discussion will also provide an overview of potential issues with the conversion process, and steps that can be taken in order to minimize costly mistakes when translating Revit into a BDL format. We will also provide comparison's of the Revit 3D representation to the eQUEST 3D representation, specifically regarding the enhanced quality of the 3D visual relative to the actual building design. |
