What We Provide
Energy Trust provides cash incentives to help cover some of the upfront costs of a wide range of qualifying energy-efficiency and renewable power upgrades to your facility, as well as technical assistance and contractor referrals. Standard incentives
Projects that feature non-custom equipment with easy installation can earn standard incentives. Qualifying projects can claim up to $500,000 per site, per year!
To receive incentives for standard equipment, ask your contractor to fill out a Form 120P (Word | PDF).
Custom incentives
Projects that go beyond the standard incentive list may qualify for custom incentives. All custom projects must be pre-approved by Energy Trust’s Existing Buildings program. Complete a Form 100E (Word | PDF) before you start your project.
Custom incentives for projects involving non-lighting equipment are approved up to 35 percent of the total approved cost, not to exceed 20¢/annual kilowatt-hours (kWh) saved and $1/therm saved. The maximum incentive per site is $500,000 per year.
Solar Incentives
Tap into clean, green renewable energy with a solar electric system or solar water heating system for your business. Energy Trust offers cash incentives that can be combined with state and federal tax credits, making solar more affordable than you might think. Before installing equipment, your Energy Trust Trade Ally must submit an application to Energy Trust. Learn more in our Solar section.
Contractor Connections
Finding the right contractor is a crucial first step in any energy project. Energy Trust maintains a Trade Ally Network of suppliers and installers of energy-efficient equipment (searchable list). If you're interested in becoming a trade ally, visit our trade ally pages.
Installation and Project Management
Energy Trust experts have the technical background to help you evaluate a contractor’s proposal. We’ll work with your contractor to ensure the energy savings are accurate and the installation cost is fair.
Post-installation Inspections
To make sure the work was done right, we conduct post-installation inspections of projects over $5,000. We make sure you know how to operate the new equipment to maximize energy savings.
