If you are an industrial customer of Pacific Power or PGE you are eligible to participate in the Production Efficiency program. Here is the process your program participation will most likely follow:

  1. Contact Us

To set the wheels in motion toward improving your facility’s energy efficiency, contact us at production@energytrust.org or call toll-free 503-445-7643.

  2. Initial Meeting / Facility Walk-through

Meet face-to-face with a program delivery contractor (PDC) selected to best serve your specific energy needs. The PDC will explain the Production Efficiency program in detail, perform a walk-through inspection of your facility to gain an over all knowledge of the ways your business uses energy, and then identify potential areas where savings can be attained.

  3. Potential Project Evaluation

Following the walk-through inspection, the PDC will discuss their findings with the Program Technical Manager who will determine whether a more detailed engineering study is needed. If the identified project(s) are straightforward, the PDC will directly assist you in developing a proposal and project application.

  4. Project Engineering Study

The PDC will thoroughly study each project and recommend energy efficient upgrades involving a specific system or process. A report will be developed, containing a detailed description of the proposed project, an estimate of the cost of installing the project, the resulting Energy Trust incentive (based on a percentage of project cost), the energy savings, and financial analysis.

  5. Project Proposal

An Energy Trust representative will review each study report and determine your interest in moving forward with the proposed project.

  6. Project Application and Commitment

When you indicate that you want to proceed with a specific project, an Energy Trust representative will prepare an application which contains a summary of the proposed project cost, energy savings and incentive offer. Your completed application assures you that the incentive funds will be available when you project is complete.

  7. Project Installation

Having committed to a project, it’s time to make it happen. Your Energy Trust representative will help identify vendors, suppliers, contractors, and project engineers that can take the proposed project design and turn it into reality.

  8. Project Inspection

Once your project is operational, we’ll send out an engineer to inspect it. We will look to see whether the project was installed in accordance with the project’s specifications and our program’s requirements. Once your project passes inspection, you’re ready to receive your incentive payment.

  9. Project Completion

Just send us a signed certificate of completion along with the invoices for the project. We’ll take care of the rest. You’ll usually receive your incentive check within 4 to 6 weeks.

For more information on incentives, contact us at production@energytrust.org or call 503-445-7643.
