A manufactured home that is qualified
to meet the ENERGY STAR® or Super Good
Cents® standards has the benefit of three
layers of inspections. First, the In-Plant
Inspection Agent inspects every home
for energy measures as it goes down the
line. Second, each plant is thoroughly
inspected at least once a quarter by
the Oregon Department of Energy, reviewing
each aspect of energy efficient construction.
Finally, random field-testing of homes
ensures that what is built and inspected
in the plant performs in the field.
In most of Oregon, you can place an ENERGY
STAR qualified manufactured home anywhere
you can a site-built home because it
exceeds the Oregon site-built energy
standards.
