Performance Tested

A manufactured home that is ENERGY STAR® qualified has the benefit of three layers of inspections. First, the In-Plant Inspection Agent verifies each home for energy efficiency measures as it goes down the production line. Second, each plant is thoroughly inspected at least once a quarter by the Oregon Department of Energy, reviewing each aspect of energy efficient construction. Finally, random field-testing of homes ensures that what is built and inspected in the plant performs for the consumer.

Proper Insulation

Energy efficiency involves more than just filling in the spaces between walls, ceilings and floors with insulation. Proper installation techniques required by ENERGY STAR ensures that your insulation does its job, maintaining even temperatures throughout the year.

Duct Sealing and Testing

Every home must pass a rigorous duct seal test at the factory. Ducts sealed with mastic minimize heat and cooling loss and ensures your home’s top performance. Random field testing verifies that ducts are sealed tight upon delivery of your new home.

Increased Ventilation

Because your new home is sealed to prevent heat loss, every ENERGY STAR manufactured home comes with a fresh-air ventilation system circulating the air.

Energy Efficient Windows

Low-E coatings on the surface of the glass are microscopically thin yet keep out 60% of the damaging sunlight, and dramatically slow the transfer of heat. These high-performance windows keep you cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter.

ENERGY STAR Dishwashers

ENERGY STAR homes have energy efficient dishwashers that use 25% less energy and save up to 1,000 gallons of water a year.

Energy Efficient Water Heaters

Did you know that the water heater is the second largest energy user in the home? High efficiency water heaters have built-in insulation and efficient burners to help cut costs while keeping water hotter, longer.
