Multiple Improvement Bonus Packages
Maximize your cash back and your energy savings by combining multiple improvements. Here's how each bonus package breaks down:
Home Comfort Package (for electric- and gas-heated homes)—$150
Requirements and details:
- Complete air sealing in your electric- or gas-heated home
- Upgrade all three thermal insulation areas (attic/ceiling, floor and wall) per program specifications and requirements
- If all insulation areas need upgrading, all must be completed plus air sealing to receive bonus
- If two areas need insulation, both must be completed plus air sealing to receive bonus
- If only one area needs insulation, no bonus is provided
- If one thermal insulation area already meets program specifications and requirements, then only two thermal insulation upgrades (plus complete air sealing) are required to qualify for the bonus. For air sealing, final building airflow must equal 8 air changes per hour at 50Pa (8 ACH50). A lower final ACH50 is allowed if approved mechanical ventilation is installed.
Heat Pump Premium Installation Package (for electric- and gas-heated homes)—up to $1,335
Heat Pump Premium Installation Package—$300
To receive this bonus in addition to standard incentives, you must upgrade to a high-efficiency heat pump or replace your electric furnace with a qualifying unit; perform CheckMe! diagnostic testing; and complete duct sealing .High-Efficiency Heat Pump—up to $450
Heat Pump Optimization—$150

Requirements and details:
Multiple improvement packages must be installed by a participating Energy Trust trade ally. Forms must be submitted together and received within 120 days of the first improvement project.
Energy Trust no longer pays incentives for gas furnaces that are used as backup for high-efficiency heat pumps, also known as hybrid systems; however, incentives are issued for qualified heat pumps. Energy Trust discontinued backup gas furnace incentives on August 20, 2007.
How to Apply for Energy Trust Incentives
Follow these easy steps to get cash back for your Premium Installation or Home Comfort package.
Step 1 - Establish your eligibility.
Oregon residential customers who heat their homes with energy from Portland General Electric, Pacific Power, NW Natural or Cascade Natural Gas are eligible to participate. To qualify for bonuses, all measures must be installed by Energy Trust trade ally contractors within a 120-day period, and all incentive applications should be submitted together.

Energy Trust trade ally contractors are trained to help you with your incentive and tax credit applications. You must use a trade ally contractor that is currently listed on our Web site.Step 3 - Sign and submit your incentive application.
Mail or fax your contractor's invoice marked "paid in full" to Energy Trust with your signed and completed incentive application (Energy Trust Form 300A) within 120 days of installation.Mail:
