Multiple Measure Bonus Packages

Get cash bonuses — plus maximize energy savings and comfort — when you make multiple energy-saving improvements to your home. Energy Trust offers three bonus packages for homeowners installing high-efficiency heat pumps, gas-saving improvements or insulation in combination with other improvements.

Ways to Save

If an Energy Trust trade ally contractor does the work on your home, they can help you apply for the following incentives and tax credits. See a list of Energy Trust trade ally contractors who work in your area.

Heat Pump Premium Installation Package – Incentives up to $1,300 

Get the most in comfort and energy savings – plus a $300 bonus – when you install a premium efficiency electric heat pump combined with heat pump optimization and duct testing and sealing.

Heat pump incentive (Minimum efficiency HSPF 8.5, EER 12.0)
Replacing electric heat other than heat pump - $400
or
Upgrading from old heat pump, non-electric heat or installing in new construction - $200

Heat pump optimization – $150

Duct testing & sealing – up to $450
(Performed with duct blaster)

If all three measures are completed within a period of 120 days, you can receive a package bonus of $300 in addition to the regular incentives for each measure.

Gas-saving Bundle Bonus — $100

Install 1 eligible energy-efficient gas improvement and then for every additional qualifying improvement installed after the first, receive a $100 bonus. Offer begins September 1, 2008, and expires April 30, 2009.

Home Comfort Package
Make your electric-heated home cozy and save energy. When you install wall, attic and floor insulation and seal air leaks, you'll get a $150 bonus incentive in addition to standard incentives.

Wall insulation incentive – $0.30 per square foot
Attic insulation incentive – $0.25 per square foot
Floor insulation incentive – $0.45 per square foot
Air sealing – Up to $400

If all measures are completed within a period of 120 days, you can receive a package bonus of $150 in addition to the regular incentives for each measure.

Insulation must meet Energy Trust specifications. If wall, attic and floor insulation need to be upgraded to meet specifications, all three must be installed with air sealing to receive the bonus. If only two areas need insulation upgrades, both must be completed with air sealing to receive the bonus. Homes needing only one insulation upgrade are not eligible for the bonus. Homes must be electric-heated and served by Portland General Electric or Pacific Power.

How To Apply for Energy Trust Incentives

Follow these easy steps to get cash back for your Premium Installation, Gas Bundle Bonus or Home Comfort package.

Step 1 - Establish your eligibility.
Oregon residential customers who heat their homes with energy from Portland General Electric, Pacific Power, NW Natural or Cascade Natural Gas are eligible to participate. To qualify for bonuses, all measures must be installed by Energy Trust trade ally contractors within a 120-day period, and all incentive applications should be submitted together.

Step 2 - Select an Energy Trust trade ally contractor to do the work.
Energy Trust trade ally contractors are trained to help you with your incentive and tax credit applications. You must use a trade ally contractor that is currently listed on our Web site.

Step 3 - Sign and submit your incentive application.
Mail or fax your contractor's invoice to Energy Trust with your signed and completed incentive application (Energy Trust Form 300A) within 120 days of initial measure installation.
