Our Location

Energy Trust provides for a range of work location options, including remote, hybrid and in-office work. This position will represent Energy Trust in public settings and potentially at community events. We are open to candidates who live throughout Oregon and Washington. The Operations Analyst Manager would be expected to report to the office on a quarterly basis, at minimum.

What We’re Looking For:

This position leads the Operations Analyst Team within the larger Program Operations group. The Operations Analyst Manager assumes lead responsibility for implementation of strategies to ensure data accuracy, accessibility and timeliness in multiple, effective formats to varied audiences.

The position provides strategic guidance and market analytic services to energy program staff on operational system and data improvements to ensure efficient tracking of the organization’s energy goals and other activities and initiatives.

The Operations Analyst Manager leads a team to support data and systems management, analysis, reporting, visualization, and tracking. This position works in partnership with the Operations Team Manager to ensure that decisions made result in successful and efficient program operations, including processes, procedures and customer intake.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and manage a cross-functional team of analysts, providing guidance, direction, mentorship and support in their day-to-day activities.
  • Direct and develop analysis and reporting of organizational and third-party data to inform program management and delivery, public reports, customer outreach, strategic planning, communications, marketing efforts and other organizational initiatives.
  • Oversee and manage staff supporting the budgeting and ongoing monitoring of program and organizational performance, including the development of KPIs and the dashboards and reports needed to track and measure performance against these metrics.
  • Ensure the development and adoption of self-service reports, dashboards, and visualizations to improve organizational efficiency, promote continuous improvement, and expand easy access to information.
  • Serves as a key member of the Programs Leadership Team responsible for achieving essential and critical business goals for the organization.
  • Drives data-driven decision making within the company as the point of contact for the Program Sectors, Finance, Communication and Customer Service, and Planning and Evaluation Groups as it relates to systems strategy, data strategy and data ownership related to energy programs.
  • Alongside the IT group, develop, define and drive the strategic direction for business and data systems priorities for Energy Trust.
  • Provide strategic advice and garner buy-in from Program Managers, Sector leads and other responsible staff for business systems to support business and data systems adoption and effectiveness.
  • Lead collaboration with program staff and the Information and Technology Systems Group to define the market analysis and tools needed to support achievement of near-term goals and long-term program success.
  • Direct the facilitation of product functionality decisions for program operations and reporting, ensuring prioritization meets the users’ needs and projects are developed within the scope of the assigned budget and timeline.
  • Lead cross-functional efforts to document and standardize data quality from all areas of the organization.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • Supervises internal staff and agency contractors.
  • Directs the work of external contractors.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, management, finance, systems analysis, economics, IT, or related fields – or equivalent experience – preferred.
  • Six years’ experience in data management, preferably in the energy industry.
  • Three years of demonstrated experience successfully leading teams, managing contractor networks, and/or directly managing staff.
  • Experience using IT systems and tools for the group, currently including Microsoft Dynamics CRM (Customer Relationship Management), Project Tracker, Prophix, Power BI, SQL Server Management Studio, R & R-Studio and Posit Connect, SharePoint, Microsoft Excel, and XML integration/support
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting successful systems implementation.
  • Demonstrated successful experience in group facilitation, team building and managing across departments.
  • Strong organizational development and process analysis skills.
  • Superior skills in time management, problem-solving, negotiation and issue resolution.
  • Ability to develop and lead organizational change management efforts related to process enhancements implementation.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required.
  • Must be able to interact with a diverse workforce and be comfortable working in culturally diverse settings and groups.

Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications in the pay equity assessment to determine equitable salary placement.

Starting Compensation: $90,500 – $115,700
