Our Location

Energy Trust provides a range of work location options, including remote, hybrid and in-office work. This position will represent Energy Trust in public settings and potentially at community events. We are open to candidates who live throughout Oregon and Washington. The Project Manager would be expected to report to the office on a quarterly basis, at minimum.

What We’re Looking For:

Energy Trust’s Production Efficiency program, within the Industry and Agriculture sector, helps energy intensive industrial and agricultural businesses achieve cost-effective savings in their facilities and fields. The program team works to continuously improve current program offerings and develop new ways to respond to increasing demand for energy efficiency and other clean energy solutions.

The Project Manager – Industrial is responsible for projects that contribute to successfully delivering program services to the industrial and agricultural sectors. The person in this role will not only scope and manage assigned projects but will be a key team member doing project work such as:

  • Research and analysis to inform program design and continuous improvement including secondary research on the industrial and agricultural sectors, energy efficiency technologies, and other relevant topics; program and market data analysis; synthesis of research and identifying important themes and recommendations; and creating written and visual reports to share research results.
  • Managing the revision and/or creation of program documentation such as program implementation manual, procedural documentation, and quality control checklists.
  • Managing the development of requests for proposals (RFP), including facilitating planning sessions, gathering input from subject matter experts and support teams, substantial writing, and editing, coordinating release of the RFP, and managing the selection process.
  • The Project Manager develops project scopes and plans and keeps projects moving to completion. The role will require significant collaboration, critical thinking, and the ability to clearly articulate (verbally and in writing) complex concepts to many different audiences including technical and non-technical team members and stakeholders. Someone who is naturally curious and finds satisfaction in digging deep into a project, idea, or enormous spreadsheet will be a great candidate for this position.

What You’ll Do:

  • Define and document project scopes and plans.
  • Manage project teams comprised of staff and/or contractors to execute project plans.
  • Develop deliverables including narrative reports, data analysis reports, and presentations.
  • Coordinate with Energy Trust program and technical managers to align projects with sector and organizational needs and goals.
  • Work across Energy Trust departments to achieve project outcomes.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Perform all job functions in a safe manner.

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities but will oversee the work of contractors and staff while managing assigned projects.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
  • Minimum three years’ experience managing projects and completing project tasks and deliverables.
  • Group facilitation and experience building and managing high-performing project teams.
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong technical and mathematical aptitude.
  • Proven ability to produce clear, concise reports and make presentations.
  • Excellent organization, time management skills, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient knowledge of MS office suite.
  • A working understanding of energy efficiency industry and NW energy efficiency stakeholder and policy landscape is preferred.

Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications in the pay equity assessment to determine equitable salary placement.

Starting Compensation: $66,200 – 82,000
