Allies for Efficiency training at The Nature Conservancy in Oregon

  • This event has passed.

Energy Trust invites you to a free Allies for Efficiency training and tour of The Nature Conservancy’s (TNC) new state headquarters. The Oregon Conservation Center is a 40-year-old building that was recently renovated to create a sustainable and functional Portland home for TNC and a resource for likeminded organizations.

Learn from the design team in this panel discussion and tour which will cover the building’s many efficiency improvements, including solar, stormwater management and new windows and mechanical systems. The building also features sustainable materials like Forest Stewardship Council-certified timber in cross-laminated timber panels, and cedar decking from TNC’s nature preserve forest thinning projects.

TNC’s priorities in Oregon include reducing greenhouse gas emissions, modernizing fishery management, advancing collaborative forest restoration and developing innovative approaches to sage grouse habitat protection.
