Success Story
Radar Restaurant, Portland
Cash incentives earned: $4,700
When considering the design of their 1,200-square-foot storefront restaurant in North Portland’s Mississippi neighborhood, Radar Restaurant owners Lily and Jonathan Tollefsen learned about the value of energy-efficient kitchen equipment.
Energy Trust of Oregon trade ally CaptiveAire explained that a demand control ventilation system would save money on their energy bills and qualify for Energy Trust incentives. Lily and Jonathan installed the recommended system and took advantage of Energy Trust’s market solution for restaurants to make energy efficiency a priority throughout their project. Their restaurant now boasts a demand-control ventilation system, refrigerator, fryer, dishwasher and efficient interior lighting.
“Everyone at Energy Trust and CaptiveAire made the process of choosing energy-efficient systems so easy. I can’t stress enough how pleased we are with the team,” said Lily Tollefsen.
