If you need support replacing your furnace, Energy Trust of Oregon can help. We’re proudly working with Cascade Natural Gas and Avista to offer a limited-time $1,400 cash incentive. Save extra on an ENERGY STAR® certified gas furnace that provides clean, consistent heat and lower energy costs.

This special offer is available to Cascade Natural Gas and Avista customers in Union, Baker, and Malheur Counties until December 31, 2023. For more information, please contact one of the local contractors listed below.

  2. After installation, your contractor will submit your signed incentive application.

    Your contractor will deduct your incentive amount from your invoice, reducing your out-of-pocket expenses. You are responsible for paying the balance of the invoice. Your contractor will then submit all required paperwork to Energy Trust on your behalf, and Energy Trust will reimburse your contractor directly for these incentives.

Gas Furnace Incentive Requirements
Gas Furnace $1,400
  • 90% or greater AFUE. Must be home’s primary heat source.
  • Not eligible for gas furnaces used as backup for high-efficiency heat pumps, also known as hybrid systems.
  • A CO monitor is required on every floor with a bedroom.
  • Must be installed between October 1, 2022 and December 31, 2023. Cannot be combined with other gas furnace incentives.

*Incentives will be paid directly to your contractor, who will deduct the incentive amount from your invoice, reducing your out-of-pocket costs. You are responsible for paying the balance of the invoice.

How are new gas furnaces different from older models?

Today’s gas furnaces are 90-95% efficient, compared to end-of-life standard models that are 15 years old or older and only 56-70% efficient.

Are there other resources available to help make my home more efficient?

Depending on household income, customers may qualify for free energy upgrade assistance programs available through local community action agencies and other community service providers. Learn more about free weatherization and heating equipment programs available for income-qualified households.
