Windows

$1.75—$4.00/sq. ft. cash incentive

Windows play a large part in regulating energy use and costs. ENERGY STAR® qualified high-efficiency windows reduce condensation, decrease drafts and air leaks, and can increase your home’s value and curb appeal. Installing new, tight-fitting windows also helps seal your home against unwanted air intrusion or escape.

If you live in Oregon, you must heat your home with electricity or natural gas provided by Portland General Electric, Pacific Power, NW Natural, Cascade Natural Gas or Avista.

If you live in Washington, you must heat your home with natural gas provided by NW Natural.

  2. Select a contractor to install your windows.

To receive an Energy Trust cash incentive, contact a qualified energy-efficiency-trained Energy Trust trade ally contractor or any contractor with a current Oregon Construction Contractors Board license or current Washington contractor’s license.

  3. Submit your incentive application within 60 days of installation.

A copy of your contractor’s invoice, marked “paid in full,” must be submitted with your application. Documentation of U-Value and size for each window must also be submitted. Proof of U-Value must be submitted as a copy of the National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) sticker for each window installed. Proof of window size must be submitted as a packing slip or invoice from the manufacturer, distributor, retailer or contractor. Your contractor may submit a Windows Addendum as documentation of window size if a packing slip or invoice is unavailable.

Please allow six to eight weeks for incentive processing and payment.
